Virtual "reality" games

Video games have been one of the exciting and enjoyable passtimes for many years now.Games have evolved a lot since then. You can now find games relating to every aspects of life. They come in different genres, they can be action,adventure,stragedy,etc.based.

Gaming now have become a profession to many with billions of dollars put into it every year.

Researches show that games are little more than only passtimes. They help in many ways.Like
games improve your reaction time, your capability of handling pressure, making quick decisions ,
improve your team work capability and more.
Chess helps to create a sense of strategy in you.

According to a article by DAvid reid of BBC the french government is taking games a little
seriously. The report says that french politicians tired of hearing the complains from the
general public of the incapability of the government has developed a video game in which the
player has to manage the whole country and it's resources.

Cyber-Budget was released this summer and it was a success. In it you have make critical
decisions pertaining to the state welfare and decide how the earned money would be spent.Again
you have to keep track of current affairs like wars, oil price etc.
The exciting and a little funny part is that you can see the reactions of the media as you
make your decisions. This game is aal about realism.
This game is about letting people know about public administration and be in that position to
feel the heat.

LOVE AND FRIENDSHIP

LOVE AND FRIENDSHIP....two different entities yet not so different..
It is said those who are in love have to be great friends..do you think it's true?yes I think

it's true.because a man said to me that physical appearances don't last long, what stays is love

and it is the one that binds them together(I am not speaking of crushes here). The love is the

one that never fades but rekindles as days go by.(o.k. I am not trying to speak as a know it

all but tell me what do you think?isn't it true?)..Some even prefer calling them "special

friends"..:-) They know how much he/she means to him/her. And again it's a friend.

But I am not here to preach the greatness of love but I want to take you to a different

journey..a question which has been mostly answered ideally, neglecting the reality.

I said that lovers should be great friends but is it true conversely?
I know many will explode saying that "ofcourse not".
But actually that doesnot happen ...at some point of life a great friend(of opposite sex)

becomes a little more than "only" a great friend.

I know any girl or even a male reading this will say it is not the case and it is absolutely

bulls***.

In a movie there was a line ,.."a girl and a boy can never be friends because it's always the

love that comes between them"
Many will agree and many wil not,but before you disagree think about it and try to remember

what happened to you..was it that your "love " was always your love or maybe in some point of

time he/she was a friend (before all that love "thing" happened)..think of it..
I am not pointing out that only girls or only boys are responsible, but it really happens and

it is natural and it is nothing to be ashamed of,because afterall we are humans.

It happens that someday you find telling yourself that he/she is only a friend and nothing

more(don't tell me you didn't have the thought),but tell me why you need to think like that if

you were so sure.

what do you think..am I right or wrong..don't have to answer now ..think about it..and then

post your comments..

(It is true that everything in this world has exceptions but nobody takes it into account while

speaking about anything generally.)
I don't know about girls but boys will agree with me that while it's time to propose it's the

males who have to do the "man's" job(again exceptions are always there). What girls do is give a

nice little smile or that mysterious look(that's the killer :)).
Usually unable to know the real feelings in the girl's heart the boy has to rely on looks and

give in thoughts to many things like "if i am rejected or otherwise ,will it effect our

friendship"and stuffs like that.Things that were normally a friend's act in the past ,now

becomes signs of the other being in love with him(I think you know what I am talking about).
Those touches which were mere playful things ,now becomes the way to interpret love. Those words

which irrated you and you often neglected them now it suddenly has some innermeaning which

directs nowhere but love. And what you think where it leads..I don't know..tell me..

P.S. But I want say to my friends that don't take it otherwise..it's the general circumstances

I am talked about and it's not the story of my life:-)

True friends are like Diamonds... they are real and rare. False friends are like leaves... they are scattered everywhere. FRIENDSHIP is like a tree... It is not MEASURED on how TALL it could be, but is on how DEEP the ROOTS HAVE GROWN... A memory lasts forever, and never does it die. True friends stay together and never say good bye. A true friend is someone who reaches for your hand and touches your heart..... KeEping a FRIEND is As Difficult AS losing one. A friend is never a coincidence in your life, they are meant to enter your life to bring you joy and laughter. Friends are like stars. You can't always see them, But you know they are always there for you...
MY FRIEND THIS IS FOR YOU

U sacrifice A lot To keep them. I may not have sacrificed enuf 4 u... but in my HEART I swear I'm keeping U.. If friends were flowers I would not pick you! I'll let you grow in the garden & cultivate you with love and care so I can keep you as a friend 4ever!! A ring is round and has no end.... and that's how long I'll be your friend. There is a gift that gold cannot buy, a blessing that's rare & true, that's the gift of a wonderful friend like the friend that i have in u! harry potter

Harry potter .........there is nothing more to say in it's introduction..almost majority of

people knows about it..even if he/she hates it for the fact that it has nothing in it to be as

successful as it is presently..
There are people who hates to hear anything about harry potter and the books ,they believe they

could have done better if they had written something..which is similar to the case when people

watching a particular game thinks he would have done better if he were there playing...
I wasted my time and energy convincing people about it's 'magic'...people think it is a waste

of time and moreover it poisons young minds and gives them a false impression about the

reality..and make them believe that there are magical solutions to there problems.......
I guess the only reason of their disapproval is that they dont like to lose their

intellectuality by reading kiddies stuff...
I think lets leave them and talk about something more useful and relevant....now the

speculations and assumptions are running high ..what to expect from the 7th and final

book...with theories flooding forums and fan sites...it really becomes cumbersome to keep track

to those...one cannot deny the fact that few of them are really convincing and most of them are

rubbish as they sound...
To tell you the truth ,sometime back i really felt to leave rowling do the tough job and stop

myself from speculating what's going to happen next...but its really hard to stop oneself

avoiding the action...
Reading this you are feeling that I am a 'know it all' person but believe me i am nothing to

those sitting there all day cracking every line of the book....i just read posts and

ocassionally comment on them..
It is really foolish to think that someone is still due to finish the 6th book, but still if

you have just finished the book and feeling really sad(as i did on the 1st go),i recommend you

to visit the site click here to visit
next I will try and put some theories in here...for the time being good bye..

some home-made troubleshooting.....

Now I am going to discuss about some troubleshooting techniques which are really funny in some

aspects but very effictive at the same time(at least it works for me)....
I am not a expert at truobleshooting but over this few years my PC had two of this very common

problems which I learnt to rectify(one all by myself and the other from my brother).

To tell you the truth they are so childish that I am really ashamed to write about

it..nevertheless let me tell you...

1)
(this is the funny one...and if you find it childish plz comment on it and I will delete it)
All of you have probably come across those CD-s..which the CD-drive take all eternity to read

and never stops reading it....yes it is really frustrating ...more when you are in the middle

of something really "good" and even more when you find they are not so much scratched compared

to others the rom had read and run..
Ok this is my part of troubleshooting(i never discovered how it happened and am not sure if it

will work with you)..leave the cd in the drive and restart the machine...and believe me it

works for me most of the times...

2) Have you ever had this problem??when you start your machine the moniter's indicator keeps on

blinkng but never "lights up" and the hard disk keeps on "spinning" i.e.,reading but doesnot

boot...a alternate way to have this problem is while your machine is on the computer hangs and

after you press the restart button the above mentioned incident happens....
There may be many 'valid' reasons for this( which obviously i am unable to explain)...but in

most cases the reason is a loose RAM..
Before getting tensed what to do nad call a mechanics who will charge you for repairing almost

nothing try this ..what you got to do is open up your cabinet,'pluck' the RAM from the

slot, clean it with a 'eraser' and place it tightly on slot again and restart your

computer...this should work if it doesnot go for a mechanic then...

This should for you as it did for me...my machine hadn't much problem thus disallowing to learn

troubleshooting...hope this helped you ..please leave your comments whether its compliment or

criticism...

NOKIA 6030 issues

first of all some codes for you...........(what you have to do is dial this codes)
1>*#06# =>for checking the serial no.
2>*#0000# => for software version and language version
3> *#92702689# =>for lifetimer,purchasing date,repairing date,serialno.(again),etc.....

The freqeuntly asked question is that "is there any datacable available for this model?"
Well...i dont have it but i know some people who have it....and they say it works.....
The drivers that all of them reccomend are
1> MOBIMB 2.5 ...and
2> OXYGEN PHONE MANAGER (OPM II) 2.8.6 trial.

hope this works for you ................

I heard people saying that in this model we cannot see the 'active' call duration.........its totally wrong...call duration(when you are in a call) can be seen.......

first i shall make one thing clear ....the call duration cannot be seen in the main window..you have to browse a little bit.........
when you are making a call and when the reciepient recieves the call do this....
on menu=>go to call register=>call duration=>there you find active call duration.....

i would like to add that when not in a call the 'active callduration' option is not there ,in place of it there is last call duration.... so dont try finding it...
you can do the same when recieving a call.....

Another issue is that people could retrieve the white background after changing the theme....
if you have bought your mobile recently you will find the theme named "BASIC.nth"....apply it and you will get a white background.....
and those with older versions...try downloading white background themes...
I am sure it will help you.....please do leave your precious comments in here.........

Story Behind These Big Companies........

Xerox

The Greek root "xer" means dry. The inventor, Chestor
Carlson, named his product Xerox as it was dry
copying, markedly different from the then prevailing
wet copying.

Sun Microsystems

Founded by four Stanford University buddies, Sun
is the acronym for Stanford University Network.

Sony

From the Latin word 'sonus' meaning sound, and
'sonny' a slang used by Americans to refer to a

bright youngster.

SAP

"Systems,
Applicati
ons,
Products
in Data
Processin
g",
formed by
four
ex-IBM
employees
who used
to work
in the
'Systems/
Applicati
ons/Proje
cts'
group of
IBM.

Red Hat

Company founder Marc Ewing was given the Cornell
lacrosse team cap (with red and white stripes) while
at college by his grandfather. He lost it and had to
search for it desperately. The manual of the beta
version of Red Hat Linux had an appeal to readers to
return his Red Hat if found by anyone!

Oracle

Larry Ellison and Bob Oats were working on a
consulting project for the Central Intelligence
Agency (CIA). The code name for the project was
called Oracle (the CIA saw this as the system to
give answers to all questions or something such).

motorola

Founder Paul Galvin came up with this name when
his company started manufacturing radios for
cars. The popular radio company at the time was
called Victrola.

Microsoft

It was coined by Bill Gates to represent the company
that was devoted to MICROcomputer SOFTware.
Originally christened Micro-Soft, the '-' was removed
later on.

Lotus

Mitch Kapor got the name for his company from the
lotus position or 'padmasana.' Kapor used to be a
teacher of Transcendental Meditation of Maharishi
Mahesh Yogi.

Intel

Bob Noyce and Gordon Moore wanted to name their new
company 'Moore Noyce' but that was already
trademarked by a hotel chain, so they had to settle
for an acronym of INTegrated ELectronics.
Hewlett-Packard

Bill Hewlett and Dave Packard tossed a coin to decide
whether the company they founded would be called

Hewlett
-Packard or Packard-Hewlett.

Hotmail

Founder Jack Smith got the idea of
accessing email via the web from a
computer anywhere in the world. When
Sabeer Bhatia came up with the business
plan for the mail service, he tried all
kinds of names ending in 'mail' and
finally settled for Hotmail as it included
the letters "html" - the programming
language used to write web pages. It was
initially referred to as HoTMaiL with
selective upper casings.

Google

The name started as a jockey boast about the amount of
information the search-engine would be able to search.
It was originally named 'Googol', a word for the
number represented by 1 followed by 100 zeros. After
founders - Stanford graduate students Sergey Brin and
Larry Page presented their project to an angel
investor, they received a cheque made out to 'Google

Cisco

The name is not an acronym but an abbreviation
of San Francisco. The company's logo reflects
its San Francisco name heritage. It represents
a stylized Golden Gate Bridge.

Apple Computers

Favourite fruit of founder Steve Jobs. He was
three months late in filing a name for the
business, and he threatened to call his company
Apple Computers if the other colleagues didn't
suggest a better name by 5 o'clock.

Apache

It got its name because its founders got started by
applying patches to code written for NCSA's httpd
daemon. The result was 'A PAtCHy' server - thus, the
name Apache.

Adobe

The name came from the river Adobe
Creek that ran behind the house of
founder John Warnock.

Dear All,

Yesterday (03-04-2006)I attended a seminar by a so-called "Hacking Guru"
Ankit Fadia, at DAVV, Indore (MP) auditorium. I just want to share my
feelings with you.

The Seminar was a complete failure, though it was attended by about well
over 100 people, but was a complete disaster.

The very first thing by which I was offended badly was using the sacred word
"Hacking" to demonstrate something we, the hackers, call cracking. The
seminar topic was "Ethical Hacking", now I want to ask Mr Fadia, what is
unethical about hacking ? Hacking is very positive word and there in no need
to put "Ethical" before it. By the way his seminar topic should be "Ethical
Cracking".

If you really want to become a hacker, please read an article by a real
hacker, Eric Steven Raymond (ESR). The man who changed the history by
writing a paper "Cathedral and Bazaar". please read the article here :
http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/hacker-howto.html

The people who can not differentiate between hacking and cracking, should
read an article by the GOD of hackers Richad M Stallman (RMS), the man who
started GNU movement all by himself. The gcc (compiler), gdb (debugger),
emacs (editor) are some of the most popular softwares in the world written
by him. Please read the article here :
http://www.outpost9.com/reference/jargon/jargon_69.html

The things Fadia demonstrated were ancient techniques used by crackers to
break into some one's machine. Now a days even 10 year olds can download
these tools from Internet to control others' machines. Can we call them
hackers ?? If he calls it hacking, I doubt if he understands the term even
"Cracking", leave hacking altogether. This childish behavior is called
script kiddie.

IP spoofing, SQL Injection, password crack

IP spoofing, SQL Injection, password cracking softwares, Trojan horse
programs, these are the tools of cyber criminals. So I wonder what is the
significance of the term "Ethical" here ??

In the entire session I kept waiting for some program or utility, written by
himself. But I don't thing he had something like this to share with
audience. The entire session was demonstration of third party utilities, and
the saddest thing was no mention of the name of any author of any utility.
He didn't care to give some credits to the utility developers. What a shame
!!!

Mr Fadia, I real hacker always respect the creativity of others, and before
using their work proper credits are given, this is the hacker's attitude.
It's not like that, you download something from Internet, use it and forget
the person, who made it. That's pretty mean.

Second most annoying thing was that he calls himself a "hacker" and was
using a Windows XP operating system ????

I have been in to computers for the past 10 years and I never come across
any real hacker who uses Windows. I met Brian(Apache creator), Andy Cleen,
Alon cox, Rusty (all networking gods), RMS (the GOD himself) but all of them
were using some or other form of Unix or Linux.

Come on, MR Fadia, Windows is the worst OS in the world, full of security
holes, so what is the point to break into a Windows machine ???? What do
you want to prove ????

He only once mentioned Linux, just to tell how you can use it's live CD to
boot a Windows machine and cracke the password.

Actually, before attending the seminar, I Googled a lot about Fadia and his
work. But what I could find was self acclaiming statement by Fadia about
himself and his future and just crap, crap and crap by technology illiterate
Indian news papers' reports.

I just want to share my findings with you.

Vulnerabilities patches by Fadia = 0 (He may know how to break
in, but doesn't know how to fix up)
Bugtraq id's by Fadia = 0

Vulnerabilities patches by Fadia = 0 (He may know how to break

Bugtraq id's by Fadia = 0
Hacking / Security tool by fadia = 0 (He simply Goolge and
download the tools from Internet, that's not cracking. Actual cracker
is the
programmer, but Fadia never ever gives due credits. Now that's not hacking,
that's
stealing)
Any open source software by Fadia = 0 (He is afraid of suggesting
Linux to people, 'coz it's secure)
Any Linux or Windows software security patch = 0
Any recommendation or recognition by Real Hacker Community = 0 (They
laugh at him. He is just a kid)
Software / Cryptography patents by Fadia = 0
Algorithms by Fadia = 0
Any official citation by FBI/CIA/CBI for Fadia = 0 (They don't even
bother about any explanation)
Any confirmation of his self-claims = 0 (Nobody, expect
him knows, if they are real)
Any confirmation of him decrypting Osama's message = 0
(Hahahahahahahaha)
Any original technical tutorial or book by Fadia = 0 (He simply copy
the things and never he never ever gives due credits to the

original authors.)
Any originality in his tutes or books = 0 (Hahahahahahaha)
Skill level of Fadia = Only God
knows !!!

I tried to read a few books by him, but to my wonder some part of his books
are nothing but simple "copy and paste" material from well known sites for
Windows registry editing. Please visit www.winguides.com and compare the
material with his first book. Oh God ! this is the clear violation of
intellectual property rights of the website. Please inform the webmaster. I
have done it already.

I was astonished by the
no photo
jay Ankit Fadia : The real picture 4 5/9/2006 7:35 AM
I was astonished by the course he came to promote here, "Ethical hacker
certified by Ankit Fadia" ! He sill is child in hacking field, and he is
giving the certificates for hacking ????? And worst thing, Reliance web
world is promoting it. What a shame !!! Have all gone mad ? Can't they see
?

Unfortunately, question and answer round was cut from the seminar, that's
also because of Fadia arrived there one hour late. Well, that's India's
celebrity style statement. Otherwise, I would have asked all these questions
to him there only.

Anyways, I went to him at the end of the seminar, and asked if Windows is so
vulnerable, can he suggest audience to use Linux rather than Windows. And
the reply came was straight "NO". What a shame ???

I understood the reason, why he said no. The reason is same why Microsoft
does not patch up it's OS. Plain economics. If you make system secure with
Linux who is going to ask for people like Fadia, so called "security expert"
???

I want to make an appeal to all of you, please make all of your friends
aware of these facts. Let one should not get undeserved advantage. I also
want to appeal news papers, please do not make a hero out of nothing. Stop
polluting the honest media by prejudiced reports.

And at the end I want to tell Mr Fadia, that I don't have any personal
problem with you or your achievements, but please behave properly in hacking
community. We hackers are very positive people we never ever try to harm
anybody, until he comes to our or our philosophy's way. Please stop calling
your self a hacker, if does not understand the hacker culture.

And for god sake, stop behaving like a child, now you are in college, so
GROW UP !!!

Prabhat.

PS : I am sending this mail to Mr Fadia, Reliance web world, most of Linux
mailing lists and all of my friends. Please post your comments at

about me

My life is full of......nothing...:-)
there are few things i want to share and few things i dare not...
i am thinking where to start......
lets start with me telling you a hell lot of lies about me.....which are only meant to impress people reading this....(and i think its only friends and they know a lot about me)........

But there is one thing i am hell lot seroius about..it is friendship....i dont like people making friends for reasons which are only meant for personal benefits.....i dont like conditions in friendship...
i dont know why it happened to me,but it was my best friend who hurt me the most....but in my solitude when i think about it....it was not his fault but his mother.....oh boy i started talking about my personal life.....but personal blogs are for personal feelings.....right...but lets come out of it....
i have a unimportant life with no mystery in it.....i am trying to make something of my life...you will know when i am done achieving my goal....
i am in search of a true friend...and it may be you.......(its not that you are lucky but it is me who is lucky to have you as a friend)...

its my first blog post and i athink its a total disastor.....dont you think guys.........

hey ya

its just to gat started......
