some home-made troubleshooting.....

Now I am going to discuss about some troubleshooting techniques which are really funny in some

aspects but very effictive at the same time(at least it works for me)....
I am not a expert at truobleshooting but over this few years my PC had two of this very common

problems which I learnt to rectify(one all by myself and the other from my brother).

To tell you the truth they are so childish that I am really ashamed to write about

it..nevertheless let me tell you...

1)
(this is the funny one...and if you find it childish plz comment on it and I will delete it)
All of you have probably come across those CD-s..which the CD-drive take all eternity to read

and never stops reading it....yes it is really frustrating ...more when you are in the middle

of something really "good" and even more when you find they are not so much scratched compared

to others the rom had read and run..
Ok this is my part of troubleshooting(i never discovered how it happened and am not sure if it

will work with you)..leave the cd in the drive and restart the machine...and believe me it

works for me most of the times...

2) Have you ever had this problem??when you start your machine the moniter's indicator keeps on

blinkng but never "lights up" and the hard disk keeps on "spinning" i.e.,reading but doesnot

boot...a alternate way to have this problem is while your machine is on the computer hangs and

after you press the restart button the above mentioned incident happens....
There may be many 'valid' reasons for this( which obviously i am unable to explain)...but in

most cases the reason is a loose RAM..
Before getting tensed what to do nad call a mechanics who will charge you for repairing almost

nothing try this ..what you got to do is open up your cabinet,'pluck' the RAM from the

slot, clean it with a 'eraser' and place it tightly on slot again and restart your

computer...this should work if it doesnot go for a mechanic then...

This should for you as it did for me...my machine hadn't much problem thus disallowing to learn

troubleshooting...hope this helped you ..please leave your comments whether its compliment or

criticism...

NOKIA 6030 issues

first of all some codes for you...........(what you have to do is dial this codes)
1>*#06# =>for checking the serial no.
2>*#0000# => for software version and language version
3> *#92702689# =>for lifetimer,purchasing date,repairing date,serialno.(again),etc.....

The freqeuntly asked question is that "is there any datacable available for this model?"
Well...i dont have it but i know some people who have it....and they say it works.....
The drivers that all of them reccomend are
1> MOBIMB 2.5 ...and
2> OXYGEN PHONE MANAGER (OPM II) 2.8.6 trial.

hope this works for you ................

I heard people saying that in this model we cannot see the 'active' call duration.........its totally wrong...call duration(when you are in a call) can be seen.......

first i shall make one thing clear ....the call duration cannot be seen in the main window..you have to browse a little bit.........
when you are making a call and when the reciepient recieves the call do this....
on menu=>go to call register=>call duration=>there you find active call duration.....

i would like to add that when not in a call the 'active callduration' option is not there ,in place of it there is last call duration.... so dont try finding it...
you can do the same when recieving a call.....

Another issue is that people could retrieve the white background after changing the theme....
if you have bought your mobile recently you will find the theme named "BASIC.nth"....apply it and you will get a white background.....
and those with older versions...try downloading white background themes...
I am sure it will help you.....please do leave your precious comments in here.........
